Youth caching competence model

What should someone know and be able to do when using coaching in work with young people? The CATCH Youth Coaching Competence Model provides an overview of the key competencies, knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for high-quality and responsible youth coaching.
The model was developed within CATCH – Creating Youth Work Training and Coaching Horizons, an international Erasmus+ project focused on strengthening the use of coaching approaches in youth work and supporting professionals who accompany young people in their personal, educational, and career development.
The Competence Model can be used by youth workers, coaches, trainers, facilitators, and organisations as a framework for professional development, reflection on practice, and planning further learning. It helps make youth coaching more concrete by showing which areas of competence matter and where there may still be room for growth.
It can also support organisations that want to integrate coaching more systematically into their work with young people and develop clearer quality standards for their practice.
