ReCalibur Documentary: Youth Work, Community and Nature

How can contact with nature influence our wellbeing, relationships, and sense of belonging? The ReCalibur Documentary brings together experiences, perspectives, and stories from people working in youth work, community development, ecopsychology, and non-formal education.

The documentary was created within ReCalibur, an international Erasmus+ project exploring how youth work can reconnect young people with nature, strengthen communities, and support creativity, wellbeing, and a deeper sense of belonging. The project brought together partners from several European countries to research these topics and turn them into practical educational resources for people working with young people.

ReCalibur looks at nature not only as a setting for activities, but as an active part of the learning process. It explores how outdoor experiences, community connection, creativity, reflection, and ecopsychology can help young people build stronger relationships with themselves, others, and the environment around them.

The documentary offers a closer look at why reconnecting with nature and community matters and how these ideas can be integrated into education and everyday youth work. It can be useful for youth workers, trainers, facilitators, teachers, and other professionals looking for new perspectives and inspiration for their practice.

You can also use the documentary as a starting point for discussion during a workshop, training course, learning programme, or team reflection.

Watch the ReCalibur Documentary and discover new perspectives on youth work, community, and our relationship with nature.
