CATCH Documentary: Youth coaching in real life

What does youth coaching look like beyond theory and the training room? The CATCH Documentary offers a closer look at the experiences of people involved in the project, the coaching processes they took part in, and the ways a coaching approach can be used in real-life work with young people.

The documentary was created within CATCH – Creating Youth Work Training and Coaching Horizons, an international Erasmus+ project focused on bringing coaching approaches into youth work. The project explores how coaching can support young people in areas such as self-awareness, decision-making, personal development, wellbeing, career orientation, and taking greater ownership of their own choices.

Throughout CATCH, participants did not only learn about coaching. They also tested tools, practiced coaching, worked with young people in their local communities, reflected on their experiences, and explored how coaching can be adapted to different youth work realities.

The documentary captures these experiences and perspectives from participants and practitioners. It shows what youth coaching can look like in practice, what it can bring to young people, and how it can become part of everyday youth work rather than remain only a theoretical concept.

It can be useful for youth workers, coaches, trainers, facilitators, and organisations that want to better understand youth coaching and explore how a coaching mindset can be integrated into their own work.
