SolidAction

A journey to discover what solidarity truly means — and how to live it through action.

SolidAction was a two-phase international training course designed to support youth workers, coaches, and facilitators in exploring and embodying the concept of solidarity.
The project invited participants to slow down, reflect on what solidarity means to them personally, and find ways to translate that understanding into tangible action — in their work, communities, and everyday lives.

Phase 1 – Awareness and Understanding

The first phase focused on self-awareness, values, and understanding the deeper dimensions of solidarity.
Through interactive workshops, reflective practices, creative expression, and outdoor experiences, participants explored solidarity as more than just helping others — as a mindset, a responsibility, and a conscious choice to act for the common good.

Activities such as storytelling, art-based reflection, and dialogue circles helped participants clarify their motivations, boundaries, and sources of resilience.
The goal was not only to understand solidarity intellectually but to feel and experience it — as a principle that connects, inspires, and builds trust among people.

Phase 2 – From Ideas to Action

The second phase focused on practical application — transforming ideas of solidarity into real-life initiatives, projects, and community actions.
Participants worked on their own micro-projects, developed concrete action plans, and learned how to support young people in creating positive change in their surroundings.

The process integrated coaching methods, community resource mapping, systems thinking, and peer learning, emphasizing authenticity, collaboration, and meaningful impact.
Reflective circles and feedback sessions supported continuous growth and the creation of follow-up initiatives that extended beyond the project itself.

Impact and Legacy

SolidAction demonstrated that solidarity is not a single act — it’s an ongoing attitude and a way of seeing the world through empathy, respect, and connection.
The project created space for learning, sharing, and collective growth among people who believe that change starts with small, intentional steps and is sustained through collaboration.

Participants left with new tools, insights, and a deeper sense of purpose — as well as practical experience in turning solidarity into everyday action. Many of the ideas developed during the project evolved into local workshops, mentoring initiatives, and community activities that continued to spread the spirit of solidarity across Europe.
