21st Century
21st CENTURY – Coaching Europe’s Navigation Towards Understanding and Reactivating Youth
Working with young people today means much more than organizing activities or offering a safe space. It means being able to support them in finding meaning, responsibility, and their own path in a complex world.
That is why EduEra became part of the international project “21st CENTURY – Coaching Europe’s Navigation Towards Understanding and Reactivating Youth”, which explores new approaches to youth work through coaching and competence development.
What is the “21st CENTURY” project about?
This innovative project, implemented with the support of the Czech National Agency (DZS) under Erasmus+ KA2, connects organizations from the Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Italy, Austria, and Slovakia.
Our common goals were to:
Provide a long-term educational program for 20 youth workers
Connect coaching with the realities of socially inclusive youth work
Develop 21st century skills – the key competences needed for life today
Deliver practical tools that can be applied directly in the field
The project included three intensive international training courses, where participants explored topics such as:
coaching fundamentals, well-being, empathy, motivation, group dynamics, facilitation, and sociocracy.
It also involved webinars, local practice with young people in participants’ communities, and supervision sessions that helped them reflect and integrate their learning.
EduEra as Educational and Methodological Partner
EduEra was responsible for the educational and methodological design of the project – from creating the training flow and leading modules to developing tailor-made coaching tools for youth workers.
Thanks to our expertise, the program became practical, reality-based, and at the same time professional and sensitive to the real needs of those working with young people.
Result: Youth Coaching Manual
One of the key results of the project is our new publication:
📘 “21st Century Youth Coaching Manual”
This manual is intended for both current and future youth workers and coaches who want to work with a focus on mental health, well-being, and youth development. It includes:
Theoretical foundations and approaches to coaching in youth work
Practical tools and techniques applicable in everyday practice
Inspirational questions in the “Self-Reflection Corner” section
A values-based framework for youth work in the 21st century

We are proud to have been part of this transformative project, which connects coaching, inclusion, and education for the future.
We believe that the tools we co-created will help more organizations support young people as they truly deserve – with sensitivity, purpose, and respect for their uniqueness.
